Business Evaluator (CBV) forensic accountant
Hélène Bouchard holds a master’s degree in taxation (M. Fisc.), a D.E.S. in financial crime control (forensic accountant, CFF and CFE) and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV). She is also an accredited arbitrator (IMAQ) and CPA auditor.
Hélène works mainly in business valuation, Quality Of Earnings reports, damage quantification, litigation, and is recognized as an expert witness by the Quebec courts in commercial, matrimonial and criminal matters.
She provides private training for lawyers on the accounting and financial aspects that lawyers may need in situations of commercial litigation, oppression of minority shareholders, fraud or “hidden” income in matrimonial cases where one of the spouses holds an interest in a business.
Hélène has been practising for more than 30 years and has acquired extensive experience in accounting, financial and all the pitfalls and difficult situations that shareholders may experience. She has also been involved in business valuation cases as well as litigation files resulting from government evictions. She is an expert in the analysis of financial data.
Aside from her professional responsibilities, she enjoys reading, walking her dogs and various outdoor activities. She is currently “trying” to learn Mandarin.
